With todays geolocalization technologies and hightech mobile devices. Us The crowd can become a public CIA. Taking pictures, videos of what we see and just sharing it with our world with precise GPS localization.
The first idea that came to my mind was: what if we could know where every cop is in our city. I wouldnt mind taking a picture of cop when ever I see one. And i would be delighted to be notified if one is approaching my parked car. Its all about crowd sourcing to help the community. Everyone has a mobile device, if a community commits to actively spot things it can become very precise.
It takes about 30 seconds to take your iphone, open the “copspotter” app and just clicking OK. Everybody would be ready to do this on a daily basis if they know they can avoid fines regularly. The app would notify people in a 5 km radius, or accutally the user can locate on the map where his car is parked and everytime a cop is spotted in a 2km radius he gets notified.
